"I'm staring at you"

This is what DS just said to me. And yesterday he had to go potty while I was taking a shower, after he was done he was like "can I watch you?" He is starting to creep me out.

I'm on my phone and the touchscreen hates me so my posts are short, to the point and probably misspelled.

He just turned 3. I think he's just saying it because he thinks its funny to see me react. Maybe I should try to stop reacting.

At three, he just thinks it's funny on sure. He's just messing with ya, especially if he thinks it scares you. Kids love to spook people.

Re: "I'm staring at you"

That is too funny, I'd probably laugh at him if he said it to me, and get up close and look him in the eye and say "I'm watching you"
Maybe it's time to shut him out of the bathroom if it's really getting to you.
My guys at that age lay on the floor and tried to look under the door and I'd see little fingers and they's shout to me. Then they wrote notes and drew pictures and posted them to me under the door. 3 is so funny!

Re: "I'm staring at you"

I would have been like "okay...stare down!" My boys have done similar to me and I just keep reminding them, repeatedly!, that's it's not polite. Ds 1 at 11 still constantly looks over my shoulder and reads what I'm doing. Guess it's better than the staring phase he went through. But I constantly mispell when anyone looks over my shoulder! Otherwise I type fast and do great...hate that.

I usually do close the bathroom door to shower but DH let him in to pee. I am glad to hear other people have kids who like to stare. Maybe I will try staring back at him next time.

Yeah at 3, he's probably being silly. The rule I have, as with my friends is, once WE get uncomfortable with being naked in front of kids, the privacy rules come out. My friend just started them with her 5 yr old son.
