Glad I found this. I got some diaper cuts ffs and they have cotton outers. I guess I will be removing the cotton outer. I can make covers with the pul and fitted with the prints. Thanks for posting

Re: How would you deal with this, let it go?
Have you tried not using them as pockets but as covers? Just lay in your inserts or a prefold and use it as a cover, it will take longer for the cotton to wick.

Not all cotton outer wick. Could it be the inner not sucking soon enough. Minky is slow to wick when i have used it. It depends on the child I think. I personally have a few cotton outers and they do well for me. They are laminated cotton knit with suedecloth or microchamois inner. Though I think in your case, it is a "this didn't work for me purchase", sorry.

Re: How would you deal with this, let it go?
I love all the cute cotton prints but cotton outer with hidden PUL never worked well for us either. It wicked, leaked, and make my DD sweaty. Another reason why we now use wool full-time.

Re: How would you deal with this, let it go?
I think you're out of luck too, as PPs have said, but the suggestions to use fleece or wool pants are good ideas! You could also try putting some Dappi pants on over them. They're cheap and you can see through them...just a thought.

Re: How would you deal with this, let it go?
Every single cotten outter AIO/pocket I'm been duped into buying because of cute prints has wicked for me. Just like a fitted, straight through as if there were no PUL there at all.
It's very disappointing. I don't buy cotton outter AIOs/pockets/covers anymore.
