Grainy poo?

DD is 5 months old and EBF. She normally only has a BM once, maybe twice a week. Well, in the last 48 hours, she's had 4. Is it normal to change things up like that?

Also, her last BM was kind of grainy or seedy. Is that unusual for an EBF baby?

My Mood:
Well, seedy like little curds is normal but grainy might be a little different. Does she seem gassy, fussy, or uncomfortable?

Has she been eating extra? Of she's eating more than she'll poo more, obviously. It could be something you ate messing with her too. My DD goes once a day, but every once in awhile she'll have a day where she goes more..

Re: Grainy poo?

I guess seedy is a better way to describe it. I think she's been eating a lot! My mother is with her during the day and I know she is giving her a bottle every time she cries. On Thursday she had 26 ounces of milk while I was gone (which seems like a lot to me). The BMs started later that night.

Re: Grainy poo?

Probably just related to eating more, maybe a growth spurt. Seedy is normal depending on what you've eaten recently. I would watch out for consistently mucuousy or bloody.
