This is exactly what I do too!

I also give her a choice: "you first or Mommy first?" she almost always picks mommy first, in which case, I do my business and then make a big deal out of "OK, it's your turn!"

If she tells me she's all done before she does anything, I make her count to 10 with me before I take her off the seat just in case she does actually have something stored in there
