Do people not leave neg fb on Ebay for non payment anymore?

So, this guy bought two things for me, and paid only for one? Well, it didn't bother me because the item only sold for .99 anyway, so more of a hassle to send anyway. BUT I went to check his fb and two people left feedback saying he won items and never paid for them. But they were left as POSITIVE fb?!?! Does anyone else understand this?

Me again. LOL

Sellers can no longer leave neutral or negative feedback for buyers regardless of how the sale went. Some sellers choose to do as you've seen and rate positive but note true details in the message box.

You also can't leave feedback for non paid items anymore either.

What? That makes no sense! I always look at feedback before bidding. How else do you know who to avoid doing business with?

The feedback that those sellers left can also be easily removed by Ebay, as it's a negative comment under a positive rating.

Yep, exactly why I can't stand ebay anymore and love selling on more user friendly places like yahoo groups, diaperswappers, and spots! Ebay is all about the buyer because they make money off of every purchase, so it seems like they are making it as nice for buyers as possible. They know people will still list on ebay regardless of how much it sucks for the seller because people want to make money.

It's actually been that way for 3 years or so I think.

What you can do is leave a "strike" if your buyer doesn't pay. Those aren't publicly viewable, but you can choose not to accept bids from people with strikes.

It's a bit unnerving to leave a strike, b/c after opening your case to leave the strike, the buyer has 7 days to pay, and if they then decide to pay, they are entitled to leave YOU feedback... and possibly they are now angry with you for opening a case.
