Ok so I received what appeared to be a shipping notice this morning. I didn't think much of it, as I plenty of things OTW. Then I read it closer....

Weird?! I contacted the seller to ask about it. I have made orders from this store since January, but it was a couple of months back.

Has this ever happened to anyone else?

Yes, when I had something shipped from a company and then after the fact they went in and marked it shipped.

Yep, this is crazy but explainable.

If some one shipped a package to you but didn't ship it through PayPal (in this case, they shipped via Endicia) then it will stay as unshipped in their PayPal history until they manually go in and enter the shipping information. Once it does that, Paypal kicks a shipping notice out to the recipient. In this case, your seller is updated her PP records and putting in her backlog of info and it's kicking out notices, even though the packages are already delivered and received.
