Should i move the straps up?

DD is 5 months and in a RF Chicco keyfit 30. She's about 25 inches tall. Right now, the straps of the 5 point are still on the lowest setting. They are coming up from about 1-2 inches below her shoulders. If I move the straps up to the next setting, they will be about even with her shoulders, or maybe a smidge below.

Is it time to move them up? Where should the straps be in order to be safest/most secure?

The harness should come from right at or below the shoulders for a rear facing child. If her shoulders are even with the second set of harness slots then it's time to move them up.

I'd move them and see how they fit. As long as they're at or below her shoulders, they're good to go there. But if they're above her shoulders at all, they need to be kept down on the first slot.
