I just wanted to share my new scale in case any one is looking for one. Right now it is on clearance only in the stores:
http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...entPage=search So far it seems very accurate (I've re-weighed pkgs at the post office), is really easy to use, and was only $10. Not being able to estimate how much things weighed was making me crazy. I am having a hard time finding those plastic envelopes that many mammas ship dipes in - where do you get them? Bubble envelopes are expensive. Thanks!!

Re: Selling dipes - Scale and supplies
That's a nice scale!
I've been wondering about the plastic mailers too. - I did score some clearance Tyvek mailers at my local Office Depot. They don't hold as much, but they are super light-weight, waterproof, & tearproof. I think regular price is 50/$20.00, I got 50/$3.50!

Re: Selling dipes - Scale and supplies
I recieved a few packages from other moms that ordered some bags off of UPS. So I got on UPS and ordered me some, they are FREE. Anyways you just turn them inside out (that way it doesnt say UPS, b/c I ship USPS). You get them incremints of 50. That's what I've been using. HTH!

Re: Selling dipes - Scale and supplies
I get envelopes off ebay. There are LOTS on there...just search around for the best deal.
You're not supposed to turn mailers inside out to use them. They are only free if you use them for Priority mail (or UPS) Pretty sure it's in the agreement when you order them...just seems wrong anyway.

Re: Selling dipes - Scale and supplies
Just an example of what you can find on ebay. There are TONS so search around for the best deal for the sizes you need.

Re: Selling dipes - Scale and supplies
I was curious about those plastic mailing bags too. For FC shipping I've been using the manilla 10x12 padded or unpadded envelopes (depending on contents), but they don't hold a lot since they don't expand very much. The Tyvek bags are nice, but pricey at Office Depot (unless you can score a deal like the PP mentioned)
Also FWIW, I've heard of people who've had their mail returned to them if the post office finds out it's own of their Priority Mail packages turned inside out. There was even a recently announcement made stating that USPS was considering to start charging for their Priority Mail boxes and Tyvek envelopes because people were taking them and turning them inside out and using them w/o paying for the Priority Mail shipping. |

Re: Selling dipes - Scale and supplies
Hmmmm....didnt know that about the plastic bags being inside out. When I order things from other mommas on here the majority of the time I recieve the item in a bag turned inside out. That's why I started doing it. I guess I will need to get me some other bags!

Re: Selling dipes - Scale and supplies
thanks for the link.
i reuse the priority bags, when theyre sent to me i flip them inside out, there written on the inside as theyve already been used and paid for. i do this when i run out of the bubblewrap envelopes. i want those white ones, theyre alot lighter and cheaper to ship i would imagine
