I'm not much help here today, but for cookie recipes, my absolute favorite recipes are from this book:
The King Arthur Flour Cookie Companion
There are so many cookie & bar recipes in here, I haven't even tried a fourth of them yet, but I've never been disappointed with a recipe yet!

I got this one off of Allrecipes.com and it is THE best cookie recipe ever! I always get compliments on these when I make and take them.

mmmmmm.....maybe I'll be making cookies today!

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies III
Submitted by: Janie Mai
These cookies are great. There good for parties, sleepovers, ect..
You'll love them! Enjoy!!!
Servings: 18

Ingredients:
1 cup butter
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 cup boiling water
2 cups quick cooking oats
1/2 cup raisins (optional)
1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips



Directions:
1. Beat butter or margarine, sugars and vanilla until light and fluffy.
Add flour and salt, mix well.
2. Dissolve baking soda in boiling water and add to mixture. Stir in
rolled oats, raisins and chocolate chips.
3. Drop by teaspoonful onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350
degrees F (175 degrees C) for 10-12 minutes. Don't over cook. (There are no
eggs in this recipe, I didn't forget to type it down).

This is the same recipe I use, except w/o raisins. Tho sometimes I do use choco-covered raisins instead. SO freakin good. :

Buy a bag of Nestle Toll House semi sweet chocolate chips... make the recipe on the back except add a box of Jello instant vanilla pudding in the beginning with the sugar. YUMMY!
