Me too!!! I doze off all the time!! The DH will be talking to me while I'm nursing and I drift off!! Sometimes it's the only nap I get! Lol!

Oh so glad it's not just me! I swear this kid is the most effective sedative ever! I wind up passed out after every session...

I start out nursing not even being tired. But, it relaxes me way too much. I remember when DS was a baby. I would be stressed out from work and then come home and BF DS. He was eager to BF as soon as we got home and it was so relaxing and a way to reconnect with him. That was one of my fond memories BFing him. Now in my present sleep deprived state , I need a nap after nursing.

I am the same way! I have been doing tons of reading about it because I was thinking I was abnormally tired after having this baby, and then I found out it was probably because I am nursing this time

Nosing my way into your ddc to say that breasfeeding produces a sleep inducing hormone for both mom and baby. At least, that's what i've read.

Yes, your body does make a hormone that makes you and baby relaxed and tired.

I think holding sleeping babies is a drug. Even DH can hardly stay awake holding a sleeping baby(including our toddlers)
