Pressure/movements in vagina or bum!
I started having a lot of pressure with DD when I was much nearer the end of my pregnancy.. Didn't bother me, as I knew it was normal and she was just so big at that point it was inevitable...
I'm 25 weeks and the past couple of days have had such strong pressure and felt movements so 'clearly' in my vagina/butt that I wondered if I stood up, baby would just slide out.. O_O DH and I have been put off of having sex because of this and we are usually not at all concerned in that department. I don't have a health care provider to check in with this time around... Should I be worried? Anything I can do to make sure it is just regular pressure and my cervix isn't opening up or anything? (I'm afraid to stick my fingers up there incase I poke too hard and burst my waters, lol!!). I've seriously been wondering if we need to stop off at the hospital, though I know they'd probably want to poke and prod and I'm concerned they might CAUSE an issue.. But I don't really feel the pressure during the day, it's just when I'm laying in bed (weird huh)... So.. What the heck? Anyone else experiencing similar??

Oh, I also see/feel movement WAY down... Like my pubic area... Is it just that I carried differently with my first baby??

Re: Pressure/movements in vagina or bum!
I have no idea. BUT if I had any concerns about ANYTHING I'd be calling my doc.

Re: Pressure/movements in vagina or bum!
If you are concerened I would call. As far as movement this baby is riding really low. I get right above my pubic bone all the time. It also seems like she has eiher her foot or hand down there kicking me at least 100 times a day. It feels odd but am sure it is okay. If you are worried a phone call won't hurt but it is probably nothing.

Call who? Lol! I don't know WHO to call... =/ And the movements are lower than where I would start to measure my fundal height... Which doesn't quite seem right, but why on earth am I only feeling this sensation at night/when I'm laying down...? Surely I should be feeling it more when I'm stood up? =/ Bizarre! Not to mention I'm also feeling movements REALLY high up during the day... I hope I haven't sprouted a surprise twin!

Re: Pressure/movements in vagina or bum!
I am feeling this too!!! This is my fifth baby and it is really freaking me out! However it has been going on for about 2-3 weeks now, and I'm still pg so I guess it's ok??? At my last appt my regular doc was away and there was a very young midwife there - I'm high risk so I'm not familiar with the midwives at all and elected not to say anything.
We have avoided "relations" around the times I have felt the low movements but if haven't felt them in awhile we have been together without a problem. Does yours feel spasmy sometimes too? Like all the way down in your vagina? I was sitting on my feet on the floor with the kids and I could feel the spasms against my feet too - that's how strong they are. Weird!

I'm feeling so many weird sensations in my vagina at the moment, that's what's making it so freaky... I've felt almost like baby is IN my vagina and catches a nerve... I dunno, it's weird. Difficult to explain... One thing that REALLY creeped me out was feeling hiccups in my vagina... Seriously... DD had hiccups as she was being born and it felt JUST like that, same position etc...I was reading that pressure down low like this is a sign of preterm labour, but I think that's more like baby actually coming OUT and people not realising... I just can't help but have this image of my cervix being open (I know your cervix tends to be less tightly closed after you have your first baby) and my waters bulging out.... :O I really can't wait to get to full term this time around... =/

Re: Pressure/movements in vagina or bum!
I've been having episodes of a sharp pain in my vagina/cervix area. I had these with all my kids, but this time it's been EARLY! I talked to my m/w about it, and she said it's not a concern unless I start bleeding.
She said the cervix is SO long and hard that there isn't a way for the baby to possibly force the cervix open! Even when it's open and short, a baby still can't force it open. It's all about hormones that do that. This baby is sitting LOW too so I feel LOTS of movement WAY DOWN LOW, even in my bum! Sometimes it makes me feel like I have to go #2, but then she moves and the pressure it gone! I think I just got a low-rider this time around!
