Poop question..

I am not sure if it should be in here or Diaper Q&A..

DD is 14 months EBF (with bites of food) and has been having these horrible poops.. It's a weird color and stinks horribly.. Leaves welts on her but so bad she is in disposables so I can cake her butt in cream. Here are a few pictures, anyone have any ideas whats going on with her..

Yeah. Every time my kid gets teeth her poop is DISGUSTING! We're getting the top two 2 year molars now. Nasty toddler poop is the WORST and all my dipes are massively stained.

GL Mama!

My DS had allergies and his poo would welp his bum.Took only seconds to do it as well.

What kind of bites of food is your kiddo getting?

Yep - I was thinking food too. If the diaper doesn't smell like ammonia it is probably the food.

Watermelon and peaches just wrecked my first LOs' bottoms.

The latest babe it seems like grapes are our main culprit. But then she had some mandarian oranges at Red Robin a couple weeks ago and it took me like 4 days to get her tush healed.

Juice (even diluted juice can do it too).

The poop isn't white or black right? Those are the poops that need to go to the doctor ASAP!

The stinkiest poop around here oatmeal poop. She eats apple oatmeal in the morning and that poop is the grossest. It smells like someone barfed in her diaper.

Okay - I'm done talking about barf and poop.

She is teething, so possible.. And nothing new that she has not had before.. Mandarin oranges could be the thing doing it. Never thought of that..

Thanks mamas

She only had one yesterday and none today .. Maybe we're on the road to being normal again!

Re: Poop question..

My dd was terrible around that age. The diaper rash was never ending.

The suggestion a nurse gave me was the solve the problem in her gutt that was giving her such nasty poop. She suggesting getting baby probiotics from the pharmacy. It worked wonders for her. Amazing. I opened the capsules into her milk but you could mix it with anything. She got a capsule every day until about 20 mos. I tried stopping it but then the nasty poop came back.

Watermelon, peaches and mandarin oranges would cause rash so bad my daughter would bleed and her poops were unbearably gross.
I tried to focus on vegetables for her first foods and it helped. Also, I would mix lanolin with a&d and it really seemed to help protect and heal her bum.
Good luck, those types of diaper rashes just break your heart.
