I had to take antibiotics and I feel like im coming down with a yeast infection. What can I use? Im scheduled for a C section on Thursday so I was hoping there was something I could use by then. I don't have to option to just "walk in" to my doctors office, its military healthcare and id prefer to not sit in an ER for 8 hours for them to tell me to get something OTC. Any suggestions? TIA!

OTC. That's what they give you anyways, generic version.

do you know what dosage? i saw a 1 day, 3 day, 7 day. does it make a difference?

For some reason with my 4th pregnancy I had a lot of yeast infections. And the last one I had was the week my water broke. So take probiotics and grapefruit seed extract. I bought everything at my health food store and it always worked. I read the side affects with the cream prescription stuff and they were horrible for being pregnant and that far along. Now for you to have a c-section it might be different. It can cause prolonged labor or labor that does not progress. I was scared b/c I was doing a home birth so I chose the natural route. Are you going to the pharmacy on base or on the economy? I only know on the economy.

either/or. i know i can get the 7 day dose on base, but my friend told me to get the canesten gyn 3 tage packung or whatever it is but to talk to my doctor first. i dont think ill be able to get in touch with my doc, i just assumed it was the same as the 3 day monistat you can get in the u.s. which from what im reading is ok to use.

It doesn't make a difference. They gave me 3-day my last pregnancy though
