teething and weird latching?

My 3 month old just started teething and I've noticed that she's latching weird when I nurse her. It's like she just wants to suck (probably because she's sore) and she doesn't get on right...ouch! Anyone else notice a change in latch or nursing habits during teething?

Yes, their latch does tend to change with teething. Hang in there! I suggest getting an amber teething necklace for baby. Ours are from Inspired by Finn and we LOVE them!

Yep, both my LOs have totally changed their latch (for the WORSE) when they started teething and when they were having bad teething pain. I found I had to really keep on top of it or I'd end up being rubbed raw.

Hang in there!

DD has changed each time it seems, some of the times I felt like I had the 1st couple weeks breastfeeding. Seems they had to toughen up again. She is working on molars now and although not quite the same she seems to put more pressure while nursing, I try to readjust to help it.

Teething can mess with their latch. Be sure she opens big and wide and gets a nice, deep latch. Just stay on top of it so it doesn't become a habit.
