Tofutti makes "better than sour cream" that actually tastes like sour cream! Definitely an acceptable alternative. I am also a big fan of Almond Dream ice cream.

Took baby to the ER for bloody diapers last night. They told me he's probably allergic to breast milk but I feel like it may be a reaction to something I'm eating (dairy?) Not sure if this is the right place to ask...thoughts?

Cop out for I don't know what's causing it. It's very unlikely ur child is allergic to ur milk. I would try elimination of dairy products.

Yup soy and dairy are the biggest culprit for blood in stool. Stop eating both and see if there is a difference in the next 2-4 weeks.

Agreed. My baby had bloody diapers and her doc said to completely eliminate all dairy (even hidden) for two full weeks and see what happened. Diapers were totally normal, so now we are dairy free.

Right now I am soy, dairy and egg free. I Am having issues keeping my calories up but I found that subway and mcdonalds hamburgers are both ok... Check godairyfree.org it is a great resource.
