My boy is intact, thank you diaperswappers! When I got pregnant with dd before finding out she was a girl the ob gave me a paper about whether or not we wanted to circ if she was a boy and I said "well yeah!"
I'm glad she wasn't a boy. With ds I did some research and went back and forth several times because I was afraid he'd be different, turns out there are lots of intact boys his age around here which made my decision easier. We've never had any issues and I doubt he ever will. He's perfect the way he is

Re: Share positive NON circing stories!
our little man is intact. im so glad that i found out that it was unnecessary before he was born. I thought it was just what you had to do....which, makes no sense, really. why would one sex need a part cut off....so weird.
my m-i-l told me that keeping him whole was irresponsible and selfish, that he would pay the price with his health because i couldnt man-up and have it done. and that was her opinion as an RN!!!! ![]() my mom laughed, called me a hippie and said she was glad she didnt have to worry about it because she had a girl.

Re: Share positive NON circing stories!
My DS is intact and has never had any problems. Definitely easier to keep clean than a girl! LOL!
Threads on diaperswappers really got me thinking about it and I'm so glad they did! My DS is perfect - exactly as he was created! As for rating threads...it is really quite unfair. Not everyone can rate a thread, so honestly I think they should get rid of it. May of us have asked about our inability to rate threads, and no one has been able to give an answer as to why we don't have that option at the top of our page. My page only says: Thread tools, Search this tread, and Display modes. That is it. No Rate this thread on my page Not fair

19 month DS is intact. I'd say ours is a positive experience since I didn't care/understand prebirth.
I think if we hadn't made the choice to leave ds as is before his birth it's very possible I would have made the choice post birth. Any time I've changed diapers, starting when I was 11, I thought a babys penis looked wrong. Even when I was pregnant and saw a 1 year old penis it just looked weird and too complicated. The first time I saw ds I realized that his looked right.
