V was on a monitor for several months. I hated the set-up...it was the same as yours. The black pads with the little wire that stuck out left scars on her chest!!! I thought I was moving it around, but obviously not enough. So, fare warning with that...move the pads to a different spot!

I had the wires coming down through the bottom of her sleeper, or whatever she was wearing. Taping them together is a great idea.

I'm not sure what V's settings were, but I'm sure they were similar to your son's...that's pretty typical.

I hope they figure out what's going on
