Diaper Swappers

I am using FBs - all but one is used/secondhand. My 7 month old is having blowouts and it's leaking out the legs. Does that mean the elastic has seen better days or perhaps it's too big of a diaper? DS is 15 lbs and kind of skinny - in the 5th percentile for weight, 50th for height. Should I have him in a small? The Medium FB is on the tighest snap setting.

OR...do I need to purchase some sort of cover, especially for night time? Does anyone cover their FB at night?

Help!!!
