Getting BF baby to take the bottle?

Anyone have advice for getting LO to take the bottle? She despises the pacifier so I'm kind of dreading trying the bottle. I got a Tommee Tippee that is shaped like a breast, but we have yet to try it.

I know that I will have DH be the one to give it to her so my boobs aren't right there, any other suggestions? I'm not going back to work, I just want to know that she will take a bottle if I'm away for more than 2 hrs sometimes.

Thank you!

Rose

What we did is...

1. Breastflow bottles, we were told they mimic the breast well
2. The first few times I dabbed a little breastmilk on the nipple to encourage her to take it and start sucking. Worked like a charm!

Maybe we just got lucky, but now she's a bottle pro, and doesn't have any problems switching between the bottle and the "real deal."

Good luck!

Re: Getting BF baby to take the bottle?

I bought some at Babies R Us, though I'll say they didn't do the trick with my DD. I'm going to be watching this thread closely because so far she's refused the Breastflow, Avent, Tommee Tippee, Nuk, and Medela. I'm thinking at this rate I'm just going to wait until she can drink from a cup.

We got all of ours at Target! I think Walmart also carries them.

My Mood:
I have some that we're literally used twice! I decided to be a SAHM and am too lazy to pump. Let me know if you're interested. It'd be cheaper, and you could try them without wasting a lot of money. These and Dr. brown are the only kid my guy would touch. GL!
