We had so many towels, it was crazy. I purged some and took them to the local animal shelter (based on a recommendation from someone on another thread here). They were happy to get them. I don't really even use a towel myself, just a bathrobe. But for some reason we had like 30 towels.

Re: How many towels?

2 bath towels per person (1 to use & 1 being washed)
4 hand towels as they get dirty faster
we don't use any washcloths

Re: How many towels?

Two per person. Our kids have 2 each of their own, each kid has a different color. Me and dh have maybe 6 in our bathroom. That way if we did happen to have a guest, there will be extra towels (in theory!!). We hang ours and reuse them too, so it's not gross to me!!

Re: How many towels?

We have four large matching bath towels, then three unmatching smaller bath towels, and a hooded towel for DS. We don't really use hand towels or wash cloths, though we own them. We also don't wash the towels super frequently. We are not a stellar example of health and cleanliness. BUT, we do hang them to dry in the CA sunshine a few times a week.
ISO: Disana toddler clothes: sweaters and boiled wool jackets, potentially some overalls as well.

Re: How many towels?

we have half a closet full for 7 people, wash every 2-3 days and frequently run out because we dont wash often enough. i have no problem reusing towels but we have no practical space to hang them(have a towel rack for the back of the door that only holds 5) and i dont like wet towels sitting in my linen closet so they go down to the laundry room
All in a days work!!
