Re: End of the year chat

We woke up at 6:30 and got the kdis all ready for Church (8:30 a.m.... YAY now we go at 10:30 A.M.) Then came home, climbed back into our PJ's and started opening presents. Spent the entire day at home relaxing.

Katie started to have a fever on Monday evening, Sore throat and more fever on Tuesday then had 1 itchy spot show up on her forehead, Wednesday, which has now crusted over. No other spots or anything. I think it was the Chicken Pox.. If it was GREAT! That was easy!

Evangeline will be 12 Weeks this Saturday and has already started teething. She Also has a spot/blister on her left temple.. looks Identical to her Sisters that has now crusted over. (This is really weird)

DH took the 4 oldest kids to a friends house for dinner and games. I'm home with the 3 youngest and a freshly baked Turkey and a new Movie "North and South". Ahhh Nice to have some down time since Christmas brake.

Re: End of the year chat

We finally got all moved to Montreal, settled into our temporary apartment for the month of December, ILs surprised us and came for Christmas, and then we just moved into our permanent apartment here in the last couple of days. It has been BUSY.

We are still struggling with breastfeeding, but I am thrilled that Linus has only had mama milk from the beginning. We are so fortunate to know so many generous donor mamas. He is gaining now much faster and I am making MUCH more milk, so my hope is that with a bit of suck training and osteopath visits, we will be weaning off of the donor milk. At least that is my hope and dream.

Our boy is 26 inches long! He's SO tall. About 10.5 lbs now, I think. Maybe closer to 11 because he seems to have really gained this week since we went to the breastfeeding clinic at the hospital and they set us up with a better SNS feeder.

Sorry to have pretty much dropped off of the face of the planet. I do not recommend moving across the country with a newborn at. all. Never doing that again!

Re: End of the year chat

A friend of mine has brain cancer and is going through an especially rough time right now. His wife wants to make him a quilt. Here is the info, help me come up with ideas!

If you would like to be a part of making a quilt of encouragement for Josh here are the instructions
Purchase/Find 100% Cotton Fabric, Wash, Dry, Cut into 8x8, Iron, Let Cool, Decorate, Let Dry,
Use fabric markers, embroidery floss, iron ons....ect- to design your patch with whatever you wish to share with Josh (memory, verse, words of encouragement....please put your name on it if possible, or send a note with the patch that we can give to Josh with the quilt)
Leave an inch of unused fabric around the edges

I'm going to use muslin, I think. It needs to be mailed by the fifth.
