Tinea versacolor while pregnant

Had anyone every had tinea versacolor while pregnant? Please excuse my spelling if I spelled out wrong but you catch my drift, if you have had it you know what I am trying to say! I have it on my stomach! And have had it for about three months... I was given the topical medication to put on my stomach to make it go away, but the stupid (was that rude, lol) pharmacist literally told me (AFTER I bought the meds) that he had no idea if it was safe or not for me to use on my stomach but to go ahead and use it anyway! That did not make me feel any better! It is a contagious fungas (ew I know) by definition even though DH has never gotten it (like athletes foot). So big question is had anyone had this while pregnant?
