Re: Annoyed at another mom and I will probably get flamed for this.
OP, please, for your own sake, just walk away from this thread. Some people are never going to like how you word things and you can't control how they are reading them (tone, etc). I just feel bad to see you coming back to defend yourself and re-explain the same points over and over. If you feel that you did the best you could and your intentions were good, that will just have to be enough. Just because some people disagree does not mean that you did something horrible.

Incidentally, my tiny daughter keeps bringing me chocolate covered granola bars to open. She already has one open. I keep giving her the one that's open and telling her, "no, this one is yours" and she throws it away and brings me one that has not been opened yet...... and then she smiles at me. Silly baby! (She has not gained an ounce in months!!!!) LOL!

Re: Annoyed at another mom and I will probably get flamed for this.
My DD was 6lb2oz at birth and at 2yo she was 18lbs but healthy as could be she eats everything (both my kids do). We were sent to a specialist when she was 3.5months old because her head wasn't growing fast enough according to the charts not to mention she wasn't gaining enough weight according to the dr. So down at children's hospital we went to see a neurologist, I took 2 pictures with me one of me at three months and one of dd at the same age. I asked the specialist after she observed dd who she said was advanced (picking up cheerios with finger and thumb and putting then in her mouth) sitting up in her stroller not leaning back in it (these were the neurologists observations). Anyhow I asked her to look at these pictures and pick out dd from me. She couldn't she got it wrong, then she asked to measure my head I said sure and my head measures small. She asked if I get a lot of headaches and I said yes then asked about migraines which I was diagnosed with at 9 years old. She said it is genetics and my daughter will be like mommy regardless of her biological father being 5'11" I'm 5'2" I wear a size 5 shoe and sandals or open toe often a 3-4. Guess what my kids are my kids they will be small not average and certainly not large even tho my brother is 6'4" and I have an uncle that is over 7ft. Mama I am not flaming you and so not offended I would have been when dd was a baby. I have cousins (one of which is a nutritionist)who's kids are the same age as dd but tower over her and weigh much more yet eat nothing compared to dd. These same cousins younger siblings 2 years younger then dd are the same size as dd. My kids have fast metabolisms which I am jealous of.
I had a sitter for dd presume the same thing that I must not of fed her enough. I sent tons of food with her when she went their and the lady looked at me funny, I said she will eat it as I pulled it all out and put it on the table. I told her how dd has days she doesn't eat as much and days I am in awe of how much she eats. She said okay she admitted all this to me later on that she thought I was trying to make it look like I really did feed my kid but she thought I really didn't feed her that much. She was stunned at how much dd ate and yet how teeny tiny she was. Ds is much the same way not so short but thin very thin elastic waist bands in sweat pants aren't tight enough he needs adjustable waist pants. IMO and I may be wrong you look at your kids and see healthy sturdy children I look at my children and see healthy energetic (I would love to power into there energy and gain some myself) children. Neither of us is wrong we know what and how we feed our children and know that our own are healthy. I often still get the your kids are so small or so thin, I laugh and say wait till they eat after they eat I like to jokingly say something to the effect now aren't you glad you don't have my grocery bill.

My 3year old dd2 weighed 25lbs while my
1year old ds weighed 34lbs. It was funny to take them places because i would get accused of starving one and over feeding the other. |

My bff has a similar situation. And one is blonde and the other brunette, they are seriously complete opposites. The older, blonde boy is thin and super duper active, the younger brunette boy is a chunkster and super mellow... so funny how kids can be so different....and thrive.

Re: Annoyed at another mom and I will probably get flamed for this.
I don't have time to read all replies but as someone who worked in daycare before having children - specifically in the 2yr old classroom, for three years - two year olds are different from three year olds but it still sounds like A's mom and dad are super over protective of him.
As for the tiny stature thing - I have a son who was (still is) tiny at two and now three. He's almost up to the 50% now but was at the 25% at 2. He didn't really have a choice but to deal with a rough 3yr old and 5yr old when he was two. We have a born into situation. No way I coddled him. Sure he looked younger than he was and he seemed so small compared to them but geesh. I don't know, there are things I want to protect my children from - one of them is NOT learning how to socialize with other children of varrying ages. And 2yrs olds are not still babies. 2yr olds are smart and super capable of some independence and understanding things that are going on around them. If A knows that mama's going to coddle and encourage the crying/fits of course he'll keep it up, it's attention. But it's obvious in another environment with someone who cared for him but not setting out to coddle him when told that he was ok, he agreed and went about his business. That's not random, that's intelligent.
