Re: Diapers are burning babies bottom please help!!

My wash routine is somewhat varies (I hadn't got one down yet) But I used less than line 1 of tide F&G for around 15 diapers give or take. Start with a prewash, then wash then usually 2 or 3 rinses. Sometimes I would do a short wash after the regualr wash then 1 rinse. I am starting to think it was not enough detergent. :/ I also have a water plus button for my washer that I always push (adds more water to the cycle) and sometimes I would pour in more water. I am hoping it was ammonia burn and that I just needed to use more detergent. I just had read so many things about using too much detergent with FLers. Thanks for all the thoughts....anymore feedback is always appreciated!

Maybe you could soak first in a pail before you wash.. you could also try Eco Sprout soap.. we use Purex F&C now... I soak for a few hours in a top loader before I rinse and wash.
