How often does your 9 week old nurse?

Know they say it is expected for a newborn to nurse constantly, b when are they supposed to spread out feedings? Ds is 9 weeks and he still nurses nearly every hour during the day! Is that normal??

Yep that's normal! My 9 month old still nurses every hour some days! There are some growth spurts those early weeks, too. Your baby may be nursing for comfort too.

However often your baby nurses is normal, as long as they are otherwise happy and have enough wet diapers. You could try and encourage him to nurse longer at each feeding, and make sure he is getting satisfied. My baby didn't start spacing out feedings until 3 months. BUT she would go longer during they day and wake up 6+ times a night, so it was a trade off!
