Get a 2nd opinion. I just had a C after 37 hours of labor/failure to progress. Long story short, baby's heart rate kept dropping every time pitocin was upped. My midwife tells me that I am an excellent candidate for a VBAC. Look for a VBAC friendly hospital in your area, consult a doctor or midwife there, and have them look over your case. Just because your doctor doesn't do VBACs doesn't mean another medical professional will deny you this option.
