HELP! One of my colored diapers bled!! HELP!!

I have a red sherpa PW and I washed it several times by itself last week when it came, so I thought it was OK to throw in with everything else. Well, it wasn't It has stained all of my diapers and inserts pink!

What can I do to get the stain out? I haven't dried anything yet. HELP PLEASE

Most of our diapers are new since I started buying new when DS moved out of mediums. I am so sad

I had that happen before. I was so sad. I suggest taking out the red PW and rewashing the dipes before drying. After time the dye went away for me. The wahm suggested I soak the diaper in water and vinegar to set the dye (I didn't do it because my kids have sensitive skin and I was worried about getting smelly dipes)...I KNOW how upsetting it can be. Perhaps some other moms will have a better suggestion for you!

that just happend to me with black Sherpa inner black woven outer.

im so mad.. ok it happend once and 11 OC, OV and a few hemp lined dipes are now ugly dingy gray.

so i rewashed that black dipe 3 times and soaked it and everything. well today i wash another load and now again ANOTHER 11 OC, OV dipes (not the same ones) are now dingy gray.. im so pissed thats almost 2 dozen dipes that now look like crap.

DH said to throw the stupid diaper away I did!!!! that evil thing..

I guess I need to start washing my new purple sherpa PW now before Lilly arrives nad everything turns purplish....then again, maybe not a bad idea I do love purple!!

From expierence I can say that a soak in viniger and water does set the color. I do it with all the swimsuits I buy (which is a TON with a dd) and with a lot of my custom sets for dd.

I have all pink microfiber inserts, and all my hook and loop on every single diaper is pink. How much vinager do you use? Just fill the washer, add vinegar, and let soak? Hot or cold water? TIA

I just went through this a few weeks ago except it was a coppery red scarf that dyed our regular laundry pink.

You need to go and buy some RIT color remover (it's like $1.60/box - buy two or three and sold with the fabric dyes or in the laundry aisle at the grocery store).

Anyway, that stuff really works though it does smell a bit! It got my pink onesies bright white again .

In my experience it works best on 100% cotton and not so well on elastic (i had a microfiber towel in the load too and it changed it from pink back to white-so your inserts aren't a lost cause ). It sucks out blue dye as well though...so anything blue will become ultra faded and greens will turn yellowy/brown.
