Questions about Mirena??

My doc and I were just talking about this today as a matter of fact. I am a confirmed Essure failure so now I have to make a decision about whether to go with Mirena or proceed with a physical tubes tied procedure, which chances are insurance wouldn't cover.

We were talking about side effects and I mentioned the mood swings and my doc said that the majority of women who complain about that have been on the pill previously and so what they think is being caused by the Mirena is really their natural PMS which they hadn't previously experienced because it was being dampened by the pill.

Does insurance usually cover the procedure, and how is it done? In the docs office, an outpatient surgi-center?
