A question about fertile cervical mucus
I've tried to look up this question over the internal but not to much avail.
I know that EWCM is critical for conception, but could a woman get pregnant with little to no ewcm? Or, at least, with no external ewcm, say, if it were possibly hidden internally and had not yet made its way outside of the body? My personal situation is that while I used to get 4-5 days of emcw, these days, I only seem to get 1-2 days, and in my last cycle, it only lasted for only 1 day, and on that day, only from morning to afternoon. By that evening, when DH and I could dtd, I was dry. So, I'm wondering: Would dtd'g that evening have been useless for ttc? It's the first time my ewcm was so brief! And, what a limited window! But, it might become a pattern hereon. I'll add one more detail: Regardless of whether I have ewcm for 1 or 2 days, including in this last cycle of less than 1 day, my cervix remained high, soft, and open over the next 2 days, after the last bout of ewcm. Then, it returned to normal position, and became harder again. I find inconsistency between the "fertile" position of the cervix with the "infertile" sign or absence of ewcm. How puzzling.... Anyway, if any of you have experience with this or helpful information regarding this, I'd appreciate hearing about it. Thanks ahead! Last edited by Brier Rose; 01-22-2012 at 12:21 PM. |
