Re: Low tone/gross motor delays and cloth diapering...
my dd had some higher tone in her hips and shoulders but was pretty floppy everywhere else. no one said anything to me but i thought maybe the bulk of her PFs across the front of her hips was hindering her and so i switched to sposies for a few months and she started to crawl and walk...i felt awful. but i eventually got her back into cloth with some super trim AIO and flats and by that time she was doing fine with them. every kid is different, but i wouldn't assume that you will have a problem.

Re: Low tone/gross motor delays and cloth diapering...
Thanks for all the great feedback! What I use I think is fairly trim-BG AIO's and Grovia w/a Flip NB insert.

Re: Low tone/gross motor delays and cloth diapering...
I honestly doubt that any diaper---cloth or otherwise--or no diaper at all---would have any bearing on a child's ability to crawl/walk. Keep in mind that disposables are a modern invention and most of us in our late 30s and older were likely cloth diapered.

Re: Low tone/gross motor delays and cloth diapering...
i was actually told by a pediatrician that back when cloth was the norm, doc's often ordered "double diapers" to help stabalize hips of children with down syndrome for their low tone!

My 15 month old has low tone and gross motor delays and he was diagnosed BEFORE I started using cloth....I use cloth and he's catching up quickly so I'm thinking cloth doesn't cause or hinder
