Hi, I lived in KY during my teen years & have now lived in RI for the past 10 yrs.

KY to RI is a total adjustment, but there are many nice places to leave. Lots of good Catholic schools & great preschools.

I would look into Barrington,RI it's a commute to Boston but close to the bus line, and the trains. It has a couple of catholic schools & many preschools & a great public school system. It is a very quaint town & very safe. And its close to shopping & good restaurants, in nearby MA.

Good luck!

PS- Barrington also has a bike bath, a YMCA, & great soccer program. Also has a very nice library. I would live there if I could afford it- it's a bit pricey.

I live in nearby Riverside. And frequent Barrington & Seekonk, MA a lot.

Phew! I was worried that you could chose Providence. RI is a financial mess, and many a times DH and I have been shaking our heads over the fact that we've moved here. The school systems are declining as well.

I think you chose a really nice spot! I was going to suggest Braintree, which is where my sister lives, but Franklin is also very nice.
