buying bulk
I am not sure if this should be in here or in kitchen?
Anyway we are a family or three and I make EVERYTHING from scratch (bread, bagels, crackers, tortillas, baked goods etc..) and I would like to start buying things in bulk (flour, fair trade raw sugar, yeast etc...) we are vegan so that is something to keep in mind and try to use whole wheat and healthy things like that. So for you thrifty mamas that buy bulk where is my best option and what other things would you recommend? Thanks in advance! |

Re: buying bulk
I'm a beginner in bulk buying, but I got my bulk flours and sugars at Sam's Club (FIL has a membership) and I bought some food safe buckets online to store it.
I've heard you can buy such things on Amazon too.

Re: buying bulk
My bulk buying is generally:
Sams Amish Grocery Store and then generally amazon (especially if I'm low on funds, I'll use my swagbucks) but I do stock up on coconut oil from them. Occasionally I'll go to frontier but generally just the way the budget works out it's usually the first two and then amazon. It's easier for me to get the bulk things when I'm out and about.

Re: buying bulk
Well, as it says you are moving to California, you should look into Azure Standard. It's a co-op out of Washington. I order my grain from there for a really, really good price, and grind my own flour.
