My Mood:
Huge relief!

Today I paid $475 towards my credit card, making it's balance $461!
Such a huge relief... hopefully I can get it paid off in the next several months. But I looked at my payment history and everything is perfect with it! No worries there!

Once I see what I will typically be making each week (once off training) I will post back wondering about getting that debt gone! It IS smart to pay it off ASAP, right?

You should get it paid off but you should also get at least $500 in emergency fund asap too so that if something happens you don't need to use the cc

Yes, you do want to get it paid off ASAP (and have an emergency fund). The interest on there is just lost money to you, so the lower your balance the lower the amount you pay in interest. It will also help your credit score, and make your debt to income ratio better if you buy a home.
