Meds were the best thing for my 1DD who is now a 9th grader in HS. She was diagnoised at the end of second grade and meds were the best thing fo rher. It was a huge difference. This year was the first year that we did a no meds and lets just see what happens. After Christmas she asked for the meds again as she's having a really time concentrating in class and asking for bathroom breaks and nurse breaks to leave class becuase she just can't sit still. At least she's aware of what's going on. We also out things in place from the start about a homework pad and in elem having her teachers sign it as she would forget to write HW down and so forth. Anyway I have never regretted meds and they really have saved her. She has great self esteem her grades are good.
