Re: HELP!!! My kids will NOT go to sleep!!

I recommend maybe even putting your 2 year old into a toddler bed (had to do this with my DD in order for her to get any sleep), and also maybe you could put him to bed at like 8 or 8:30pm then your DD can go to bed at 9pm as usual. Maybe then both will get some sleep.

Re: HELP!!! My kids will NOT go to sleep!!

I have a friend that would give us a toddler bed if we want it- maybe having their own space would help. I had considered making a pallet on the floor with the sheepskin rug that used to be in DS's crib ( it is soo cozy) - I might try that before I start moving furniture!

I think you've gotten some great advise.

I'd get rid of the crib. If he's climbing out of it then really, what is the point of having it? Just take the mattress out of it and put the mattress on the floor if you don't have a toddler frame for it or get the one from your friend.

Put your son to bed first and if your daughter is really sleepy she can fall asleep in your bed and you can carry her to the room later.

As far as your daughter waking up, how old is she? I can't tell from the pic.

i took the crib down yesterday, so that's not an issue. He has been sleeping with her for a few weeks, except for the rare occasion of him staying in it when I separated them.
My dd is almost five.

Re: HELP!!! My kids will NOT go to sleep!!

I was going to suggest what others have already said. Do the bedtime routine at 8 with baths and stories with both kids then send dd to your bed to read by herself or maybe watch a quiet video while ds says prayers and lays down to sleep. DD can go to bed at 9 and will probably go right out no problem.

My ds is 2 also- and he goes to bed much faster and easier when I put him to bed around 8 (even 7:30 sometimes.) If he is up until 8:30 or 9 (or sometimes even later this summer!) it's like he has this energy burst or something and he fights it longer and makes more noise and calls me a million times for one thing or another.
