prefold bulk

Any tips on how to fold a prefold so that there is not a big bulk in the front? Mine all seem too long and I have to fold them on the front in order to fit them in my thirsties or bummis covers.

Any tips?

Thank you.

Have you tried quad folding? Turn it sideways, fold it into the middle, then in half, if that makes any sense.

I don't know. I'm not new to CD'ing, just not overly familiar with prefolds. Sorry

Re: prefold bulk

that's ok, I was just wondering what brand/size they were. It sounds like they could be premium prefolds, which are really long and not as narrow...where did you get them from?

Re: prefold bulk

If you have a snappi, fastening it on will help spread the bulk. As your baby gets taller you wont feel the bulkiness is so much.

Re: prefold bulk

If you buy prefolds that are shorter and wider, you won't have to fold them down so they'll be very trim. Imagine prefolds and GMD (greenmountaindiapers.com) are shaped to fit inside covers and to pin or snappi without folding down.
