Selling woven wraps bought out of country
I am considering starting a business selling some woven wraps I can get in Mexico. They are the traditional baby carriers used in Mexico, called rebozos.
But I'm a little worried about being sued if something happens. I didn't make these wraps, I can buy them from artisians in Mexcio. I know about forming a LLC, but I'm scared to find out about getting insurance. Is the cost going to stop me before I even start? I've ordered one and it seems to be of excellent quality. I use it for my personal baby carrier. I know these products are legitimate. They are made by a collective of women dedicated to preserving the old ways and to preserving baby wearing in Mexico. But I know that baby carriers are notorious for being difficult to insure, and I don't know what that means for baby carriers purchased outside the country. Anybody been there, done that? |
