Ouch!!!!
DD has a new "thing" while nursing....pinching the back of my arm. Hard!! And holy crap, it hurts! How do I get her to stop?? She's five months old, so I'm not sure a firm "No" will be effective.

Re: Ouch!!!!
DS does that sometimes and I usually gently remove his hand, tell him Ow that hurts mama, and hand him his burp cloth to hold. If he gets really persistent and doesn't stop, I will unlatch him for a few moments and tell him No pinching, that hurts. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't LOL. Good luck, mama, I feel your pain.

Re: Ouch!!!!
No advice, but I feel your pain, too. My son (7 months) also started pinching this week, but he likes the spot where my boob meets my armpit. I have taken his hand and held it for a minute, which sometimes redirects him to one of his other pursuits like scratching his head, kicking the chair, kneading my boob or grabbing my necklace or anything else hanging off of me or my clothes--hooded sweatshirts with drawstrings are a huge hit these days. Unfortunately, he thinks the word "ouch" is hilarious, so that hasn't worked! I'm planning to let him self-wean, but all of this fidgeting is making me dread toddler nursing a bit and pine for the sweet smooshy newborn nursing days

Re: Ouch!!!!
I bought a lovey at that point and it worked well. It was soft and she would rub it and it did not get in the way. I put the link to the one DD loves. It has the little bumps in the fabric that they can pinch on instead of you.

Just remove her hand, over and over and over. Be consistent and she'll stop soon

I feel your pain. My 4.5 month old enjoys graping and squeezing my boob skin. My DH asked me what all those marks are the other day.
I tell her, in mommy's firm voice, No and usually she unlatches and gives me a -what? Me?- look and goes back to nursing. I have been slipping my finger in her hand which sometimes satisfies her.
