I like that it dries fast but hate it otherwise. It tends to get stinky easily & feels weird. Right now our stash doesn't include any except a couple stay dry Flip inserts left over from when those used to fit my little guy.

Re: Love or Hate microfiber?

I it SO much. I rarely have stink issues with it. Way less than I've had with natural fibers. I know I'm odd man out but its the truth.

Re: Love or Hate microfiber?

My son and I prefer microfiber over organic bamboo.

I like that microfiber feels dry on his skin. Microfleece is harder to get clean than organic fibers, but now that I found the right detergent and laundry routine it's not an issue.

Some babies are sensitive to synthetic materials, but mine is not (thank god!)

I don't hate it I just choose natural fibers over it.

i love microfiber its so much easier than folding prefolds, and i think my microfiber is more absorbent than the gerber prefolds i have. I haven't tried natural fibers yet so i guess my answer is a little bias.

Hate. I don't like the way it feels on my skin, and it always dries out my hands. I had problems with stink whenever there was microfiber in my stash, so I ditched it! There are lots of great, absorbent fabrics out there, so I don't need it.

I'm with you. I love my microfiber. It is very absorbant and trim. I don't have any more stink issues with microfiber than with any of our other fabrics. I have a variety of microfiber, bamboo, hemp, cotton, suedecloth, microfleece, etc. I love microfiber stuffed in the pockets of our daycare diapers because I rarely get leaks. I personally have no issues with how it feels and I've never had a problem with it drying out my hands. Of course brand new microfiber feels different than after you've washed it a few times (it does have a dryer/stickier feel at first.) since microfiber "plumps" up when it absorbs liquid (which is why it is so absorbant) it can have compression leaks from being squished. So for nighttime I like to pair it with a natural fiber like hemp/bamboo that will catch any excess liquid and hold onto it.

I hate microfiber!!! At first I was in love with them and then I had build up problems that turned into rash problems. So natural fibers for me only!!! So much easier to clean and we never had a leak with them!! Now there are super trim diapers with bamboo which I love!! I don't have to use harsh chemicals to get them clean and I feel good about using something natural easy to grow. A little granola? Yes but I love it!!
