Nesting
Oh boy! I am seriously nesting! I was vacuuming dust from under the shoes in the closet earlier today. Normally I do NOT care about things like that, lol. Does this mean baby is coming soon???! I'm 36 weeks and a day, but my midwife guessed I'd have the baby around 38 weeks (my last two were early). I've been nesting like crazy the last few days, so I don't know what that means, but either way, baby will be here soon!

Re: Nesting
Today I was lamenting the fact that we have no spare toothbrushes around - because I wanted something to scrub all the little pieces of wood between the panes of glass in our windows. That fact that at the time I washing the glass is pretty significant in iteself. Dusting and window washing are very infrequent around here! Last night I stayed up until 11 (which is really late for me) making a mattress pad for the Moses basket. I sewed it by hand. I kept telling myself I could just do it on the machine in the morning and it would only take a few minutes but I had a serious compulsion to get it done then.
I'm not sure if it is sign the baby is coming early or that all of a sudden I realized that even if I go full term it is not much longer at all. I'd like him to cook as long as possible but I wouldn't mind not being pregnant anymore either!

Re: Nesting
I wish it did, I have gone though several "nesting" bursts with this one already. With each one I still think oooh I'm nesting, must be going into labor soon :/

Re: Nesting
Lol. I never had a nesting urge with Claire, so I have no idea. If I did it would be significant because I am not good at cleaning!

Re: Nesting
Ive been nesting on and off for a week or 2 now, but don't feel that the baby's coming any time soon. Unfortunately, when nesting hits I'm at work. My clients' houses are sparkling, but by the time I get home I'm to wiped out to even take the dishes out of the machine

Re: Nesting
Ugh. did I mention that a well-meaning friend bought us TWO children's bookcases? Both are like 30" wide and 4 feet tall!! I had finally gotten most of the stuff organized and it all actually fit in our house, but now I have MORE FURNITURE. AAHHHHHHH.
Not happy about that. I spent an hour today just trying to fit one of them in the closet...but I still have nowhere to put the other one.

AFM: Nesting here too! I'm being SUPER particular on keeping the house picked up and in order "just in case" or something. Not sure. lol Also I've been obsessively minimizing our stuff. (a little at a time, but still it's become an obsession)

Re: Nesting
I've decided I need to stay pregnant at least another week or so, the whole rest of my house still needs nesting done to it! DH probably wishes I'd stay preggo forever, lol, the house is finally getting clean!

I wish the nesting bug would kick in over here. My boys are a disaster, and the kitchen is still the only room I can keep clean because it's the only one that doesn't require bending over.
This, for instance, is the view from my chair this morning as I drink my coffee.
