Question Afraid of my Wool? HELP!

I have FOUR wool covers. FOUR!

2 Little Beetle, 1 Stacinator and 1 Nikky.

One of the Little Beetles is even NEW! And I'm a scardy-cat. I have Euclan wash and CJ's Spray Lanolizer.

What do I do now?

Than you!

Mrs B

Hehe I was afraid too! You need to lanoloize them before use, for the first time do a soak. I use a hand sink and as little lanolin as possible. Soak well, roll the excess out of the wool and hang dry. Drying will take a couple days. You can also spray instead of soak but get the wool well coated and massage it into the fibers. Feel free to ask questions, the mamas here rock!

Re: Afraid of my Wool? HELP!

So I don't need to WASH them?

And we are in a SERIOUSLY windy day? Can I just hang them outside once rinsed? Do they still take days?

How will I know when the spray lanolin has "taken"? Do i have to let that dry?

THank yOU!

I would wash them personally with your euclan, and then spray the wetzone with your lanolin.
After you have lano them, as long as they are dry you are good to go. They should be good for 2 weeks at least, unless they get dirty of course or start to smell. Oh, yeah,Keep them out of the sun, or there might be fading.

Yep, sun is bad unless your wool is white. I hand wash in cold water in a sink then run the wool through a spin only cycle then lanolize.

Don't hang dry. They will lose shape. Lay flat to dry (though sometimes i lay flat on my cookie drying racks to dry quicker.

Apologizing in advance for iPhone typos/autocorrect

Go on youtube, there are lots of videos about washing and lanolizing wool. Then you can see a visual.
