Brother Serger

I got rid of my serger after not using it for a while, now that I'm due I find myself wishing I'd kept it! Anyhow, I found a Brother 925D in great working condition with accessories for $125, does anyone know much about this machine or if the pricing is fair from personal experience?

I see years ago they were sold for about $270 and found them new for $310 but as far as resale value goes I wasn't sure.

I just need something for basic projects like serging diapers, prefolds, wipes etc.

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Brother Serger

It seems fair. I bought one, the 1043D, new for $250 but this was after sales, discounts and gift cards. I think new it was over $400,00. Mine works well and they are easy to thread really - and it works well. (But I have never thought sergers were difficult to thread, so I don't know if you should take my word for that).

Can you test it? I wouldn't buy one I cannot test first.

Yes, I plan to test prior to purchase. Thank you for your input!

I welcome any other input/advice!
