Why are my diapers taking forever to strip?
Am I doing something wrong?
I keep reading that you wash (on the hottest setting) again and again until there are no more "bubbles" from detergent. This is my 6th (yes, I have been counting!) hot wash (I don't add detergent) and I am still getting suds. I see the bubbles die down since the first rinse, but this is just crazy! Am I doing something wrong? Should I continue hot rinses until I see no suds at all? TIA

how are you stripping them? I between kids usually do an oxy/vin wash to strip the diapers.

If there's still suds, I'd keep rinsing.

Yep, keep rinsing. I don't think it needs to be hot though, warm works fine too.

Re: Why are my diapers taking forever to strip?
I think it's time to stop! Seriously!
Time to try them and see if whatever problem you were trying to solve is gone. Are you sure these are sudsy bubbles and not bubbles from agitation? Either way, I think the obsession with bubbles is largely unwarranted. Some machines and some water types will churn up suds much more easily than others. |

Was your machine clean to begin with? Residue in the machine can cause bubbles too!!
Also it may just be a sign you're using too much detg when you wash. Apologizing in advance for iPhone typos/autocorrect

Re: Why are my diapers taking forever to strip?
I used a new detergent last week and had to rinse SEVERAL times before the bubbles lessened. The last rinse there were still a few suds during the final spin (I have a FL with glass door) but I was tired of rinsing them (and I had other laundry to do) so I just hung them to dry. We didn't have any issues with them.
