With dd it hold her pee quite well. We change her every 2-3 hours and never soaked through

My 15 month old can wear both med. and large. She's right around 20lb. The med. are obviously more trim. We've never had any leaks with any of them.

If you want a high rise skip the FT. DS1 is tall and they are really tiny on him. The absorbency of the BG is good, not a nap time diaper unless stuffed, but it will hold a couple hours.
