I would also look at vacation rentals as it not only can save money on lodging, but on food as well. You can purchase groceries and cook some meals at home instead of having to eat out every single meal. vrbo.com or homeaway.com are good sites to look at.

check craigslist to see if there are any houses for rent they will rent anywhere from a day to several weeks.

I live in upstate NY and i have no desire to go to the city been here for over 20 years lol been there twice. we love to go camping at the state partks in NY they are wonderfully beautiful though.
