Compost-which is better?
We've had a tumbling compost barrel for a couple yrs now. It takes a good while for the stuff to break down-I only get to use it once every 12-18mos. Is a reg ol compost pile more effcient? I like that everythings closed up(and out of reach of critters) in the barrel and doesnt smell but I'm about to have a huge garden and would love to actually use the compost...Which do/would you prefer?
-if you have any tips that would be awesome as well

Re: Compost-which is better?
I think vermicomposting is the quickest method, and I tend to have about the same time frame from my traditional piles. The catch with the piles is that the bigger it is and the more you tend it, the faster it breaks down.
