Re: tailbone injury?
I broke my tailbone with my first, I remember feeling the "pop" during delivery, but wasn't sure what it was. Afterwards it took a couple of weeks for me to be able to get up and down and walk totally on my own, and I could still feel it popping out of place if I put weight on it.
After a couple of months I could sit with minimal pain, though still not directly on it.
It took over a year for me to not have daily pain from it. 4.5 years later it only bothers me when I sit on it for too long like long car rides, or sporting events. I need to get up and change position every so often.
My OB's encouraged me to have c-sections with my next two children because they were sure it would break again with each delivery, but luckily I delivered them both without tailbone issues. They were significantly smaller though at 6lbs 11oz and 6lbs 7oz compared to my first who was 8lbs 1oz.
