vbac mamas

Where I live, OBs don't do Vbacs much. I barely found one that was OK with trying as long as she is comfortable. Once she feels baby is not doing well, she says she doesn't want to take any risks. She says I need to come to the hospital as soon as I think I'm in labor so she can monitor the baby. But then I know once you get in, you are on the clock.

What do I do to avoid unneccessary csection? What did you do? How did it go? Any good sources out there to help me better my chances?
