My system is failing!

Hi mamas,
I've been using Kawaii heavy duty pockets stuffed with flats now exclusively for the past year or so. I love how trim they are. I love how fast and easy it is to wash & dry. But lately my light wetter must have changed to a heavy wetter, because he will be soaked in less than an hour after changing him.
I have a dozen Osocozy flats and 4 Imagines. Are there other flats that would be more absorbent? I know the ones I have are on the small side. I've tried doubling up, but it is so bulky I can hardly get it stuffed in the pocket then. I have a bamboo Alva insert OTW to try with a flat to see if that will work to add absorbency without much extra bulk. I'm just hesitant to go to something that has the potential to smell, takes longer to dry, etc.
Any other thoughts or suggestions?

And on a different note, are Alvas significantly bigger than Kawaiis or about the same?

Try adding a small doubler. either a Preemie PF or a newborn MF insert or even a large wash cloth folded up would work. I found my toddlers needed a preemie doubler with my padfolded flats.

Any word on the Alva sizes? I just ordered a few...
