The only thing I can think of besides using borax to soften your water (which works great) is using a treatment for hard water that I read one mama used when her well water hard iron in it making her diapers possible to clean and have rust stains (pink splotches). I think it was made by CLR but I'm not sure.
I know that green mountain diapers has a great tutorial on how to wash diapers with very hard water. I would strip all my diapers first and then try a new routine. There is so much going on in the routine it might be hard to know what is working and what isn't. Your only problem might be build up from detergent which you only need to get out and start using a softener. Good luck!! Well water is soo hard to work with!!! My mom dealt with it growing up with three kids!!! |
